Brigid Emmett – Senior Lawyer

Prior to joining Rosey Batt & Associates in 2010 Brigid worked for two large commercial law firms in Adelaide and has a decade of experience in the areas of commercial law and dispute resolution.
Her work largely involves the resolution of commercial disputes, both in and out of Court and she has extensive experience in successfully resolving disputes through mediation. Brigid practices in the Federal Court of Australia and all state courts and commissions, including the Supreme, District and Magistrates Courts and the Fair Work and Equal Opportunities Commissions. She is experienced in consumer and competition law, misrepresentation and contractual disputes.
Brigid’s experience extends to providing advice in relation to business sales and purchasing, contract and tender reviews and commercial leasing. She also acts for employers and employees on a range of employment law matters including employer and contractor arrangements and workplace agreements, termination of employment procedures and unfair dismissal, underpayment of wages, redundancy, employment entitlements, sexual harassment and discrimination claims.
Brigid is a member of The Law Society of South Australia and the International Women’s Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation (IWIRC) and sits on the Repat Hospital Major Fundraising Committee.
